What is KuCoin?
Founded in 2012, KuCoin is a crypto exchange platform that allows its users to buy, sell and trade crypto-assets. Although it does not benefit from the same notoriety as Binance or Coinbase, KuCoin is still a popular broker. KuCoin’s spot trading platform has more than 1000 trading pairs. There are no less than 100 trading pairs against USDT, and over 150 against Bitcoin! What are the deposit and withdrawal fees on KuCoin?
Deposits on KuCoin are completely free if operated via wire transfer or crypto-currency. A 3% to 4% fee applies to deposits via Visa or MasteCard credit cards – at the time of writing this article, credit card deposit fees amouted to 3.80%. The deposit minimums are very low, starting with 10 dollars by credit card and only 1 dollar via bank transfer.
Withdrawals on KuCoin also come with varying fees. For instance, the minimum Bitcoin withdrawal is 0.0005 BTC, with fees ranging from 0.00002 to 0.0005 BTC. FIAT withdrawal are free in USD via Advcash, while a 0.80€ fee is mandatory via SEPA transfer.
What are the trading fees on KuCoin?
KuCoin’s trading fees depend on the crypto-asset. By default, on “Class A” cryptocurrencies, KuCoin’s trading fees are 0.10% – the same as Binance -, a number that is quite attractive compared to the price charged by other exchanges. They can go up to 0.3% on “Class C” tokens. You may find the detailed fees here. Users that hold KCS can also choose to automatically pay their fees in KCS to get a 20% discount, bringing their trading fees to 0.08% of the traded amount.
Note that VIP clients – people that trade considerable amounts – can also get additional discounts on trading fees. The amount of the discount is calculated according to the volume of transactions made over the last 30 days and the number of KCS tokens the user has.
